Chittagong University ( CU) authority imposed embargo on fluting ‘Bhubujala’ and wearing masks on the day of Pahela Baisakah, for maintaining law and order situation. They also imposed ban on selling Bhubujela and such other fluting materials that create sound pollution.
Proctor Ali Azgor Chowdhury said, security measures already tighten ahead of the Pahela Baisakh, saying Bhubujela and likewise others has been banned to carry in the University for Security Concern. The shuttle train operation was rescheduled for the day, for easing the passenger movement.
`The university’s key points would be under surveillance on CCTV camera all day long to avert any untoward situation,’ Proctor Ali Azgor Chowdhury said, adding the police forces and other law enforcing personnel are on high alert to avert any situation likewise the Dhaka University Pahela Boisakh tragedy.
