The admission test for the first year honours courses under the academic sessions 2017-18 of Chittagong University will begin tomorrow through holding the C unit admission test.
 A total number of 14304 students have applied for 752 seats under ‘C’ unit (business studies) which is scheduled to be held at 10.30 am tomorrow where around 20 students would fight for each seat.
 The secretary of admission affairs committee and deputy register SM Akber Hossain confirmed to the correspondent that a total of 1 lakh 26,057 students across the country will vie for a seat in the test against 4924 seats under 4 units . Around 26 students will vie for one seat in this year.
This year , 11 more outer campus have been added to ease the admission test ,he added. The outer campuses are Hathazari college, Premier University( wasa campus), Premier University (E K C road campus), Anayat Bazar woman college,Chittagong Vetnari and animal Scienec university, Pahartoli College,Chittagong Govt Woman College, Omar goni MES College, Port City International University,Chittagong Govt College,Hazi Mohmmed Mohosin College ,Ispahani Public College.
 The university authorities have taken precautionary measures to prevent question leakage and forgery in the test. Law enforcing members and mobile court will be deployed on the university campus and outer centers to avoid any kind of disruption and fraud.
The law enforcement agencies were given necessary instructions to stay alert on the campus to avert any untoward situation for the sake of holding the test in a free and fair way.
Chittagong University authority has issued an embargo setting up help desk of voluntary organizations . At the same time, embargo also imposed on buying guide book and taking preparatory exam from the admission seekers staying residential hall.
CU Proctor Ali Asgar Chowdhury told The New Nation that all-out security measures have been taken to complete the admission test in a peaceful environment. Electronic devices and memory attached watch will not be allowed in the examination hall and the students have to keep unveil their ear. “The students affiliation also called upon not to post any political activities in the campus during admission test. ” he added
Meanwhile ,the shuttle train operation has been rescheduled for easing the transport during the admission test.
The first train to the campus would head at 6 am from port city”s Battal Station and the latter train at 6.30 am ,8.45 am , 9.50 am( demo), 1 pm,4 pm and 8 pm respectively.
On the other hand ,the train will leave from campus to city at 7.5 am, 7.35 am ,10.20 am ,1.5 pm,1.30 pm,2.30 pm, 5.30 pm, and 9.30 pm.
