Nur-e-Alam Mina, SP, Chittagong District said a social crusade should be initiated to uproot militancy. He said no member of the Chittagong district police will return to their barracks before uprooting militancy from Chittagong.
The newly appointed SP said this in a view-exchange meeting with the journalists at a convention hall on Saturday afternoon.
Seeking cooperation from the journalists to uproot militancy from the country, he said police want cooperation from people of all walks of life, including journalists, to counter those involved in hampering public safety as well as killing people misinterpreting Islam.
