A month-long International Women SME Fair will begin at the Railway Polo Ground in the port city from the first day of November. Women entrepreneurs like India, Pakistan, Thailand, China and Iran will take part in the fair. This was informed at a press conference organized by Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CWCCI) at the Chittagong Club hall room on Saturday. Local lawmaker MA Latif addressed the function as Chief Guest while CWCCI President Kamrun Malek presided over.
“Women entrepreneurs are playing a significant role in the country’s economy and their strong participation in irrespective of small and big businesses deserve mention today,” the lawmaker said, adding “We need to work together to avoid gender discrimination to build a developed and better Bangladesh.”
