Shawkat Ali, a drugstore owner in the port city’s Tigerpass area, “raped” a woman at different times in his shop, giving her a false wedding promise.
The victim, aged around 30, is a garment worker, who filed a rape complaint against Shawkat of Khulshi area with a Chittagong court on Tuesday.
The court fixed November 20 for hearing the complaint, said Mohammad Ershadul Islam, office assistant of District Legal Aid Committee.
