Under the auspices of Chittagong Distsrict Police , Chittagong Range Football Tournament began in the port city from Wednesday at Dampara police line ground.
District Police Super AKM Hafiz Akhtar inaugurated the tourney as chief guest by releasing baloons. In order to keep away the youth community from the addiction of drugs and other unsocial activities, police authority arranged this tournament , sources said. Among others, Additional Police Super Md. Shahidullah, Additional Police Super(North) Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Additional police Super(SB) Md. Naimul Hasan, Senior Asstt. Police Super Md. Tariqul Islam were present on the occasion
In the opening match of the tournamnent, Chittagong Police team defeated the Khagrachari police team by 2-0 goals.
Total of nine teams from the Khagrachari, Rangamati, Bandarban, Comilla, chandpur, Laxmipur, Noakhali , Feni will participate in the tournament ,sources said.
