A mobile court of Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) yesterday fined nine vessels a total of Tk three lakhs and five thousand on different grounds.
CPA Authorized Officer and Executive Magistrate Mohammad Abul Hashem conducted the mobile court and fined the vessels for different reasons, including overloading, blocking the port channel, not keeping safety appliances and not keeping certificates by the masters and drivers of the vessels. CPA prosecution officer Arefin and peshkar Aminul Islam accompanied the executive magistrate during the drive.
