A 3-storied Dock Office building of Chittagong Port was inaugurated on Saturday last. The Dock office is located within the port area. Minister for shipping and port Md. Shahjahan Khan MP formally inaugurated the DO building as chief guest. Contractor M/s Arup Enterprise of Dhaka constructed the building. The construction work begins in February 2014 and completed the work in March last at a cost of Tk.2.57 crores. Among others, CPA chairman Rear Admiral Nizamuddin Ahmed, additional secretary of the concerned ministry Md. Rafiqul Islam, Member(eng) Commodore Zulfikar Aziz, Member Commodore Shaheen Rahman, Member(Planning) Jafar Alam, Deputy conservator of CPA Nazmul Alam, Port secretary Omar Faruk and other divisional heads of CPA were present on the occasion, a CPA release said.
