BSS, Chittagong :
Chittagong Nursing College (CNC) authorities closed the institution for an indefinite period following students’ movement over the results debacle on Tuesday.
Authorities have also asked the students to vacate their dormitories, but the students denied the order. The decision was taken at the Academic Committee meeting held on Tuesday afternoon.
CNC principal Hosne Ara said the students have been asked to sit with the authority to resolve the problem. But, they did not agree with the request. “The college was declared closed considering overall situation and the students were asked to leave the halls,” she said.
College sources said the results of different academic years, published on Monday, showed that only 47 percent students of four years came out successful in the examinations.
In an instant protest on that day, the students kept confined the principal for about an hour demanding re-evaluation of their answer papers.
