Japan is one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world. The pace of development will be further accelerated if a close friend like Japan is always with Bangladesh.
Many development works including road development and modern waste management of CCC are being carried out with the help of Japan. Hopefully, Japan’s support for CCC’s development will continue.
The mayor made the remarks during a courtesy call on Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Ito Naoki with Chittagong City Corporation Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury on Monday.
The mayor said Chittagong is one of the major natural seaports in the world and the economic heart of the state. Expansion of Chittagong port, construction of bay terminal, construction of deep sea port, construction of tunnel through Karnafuli bottom. So the importance of Chittagong is also multidimensional. Chittagong is hailed as a fertile economic power with immense potential in all parts of the world.
