A Chittagong court recently sentenced a fugitive to 10 years’ imprisonment for possessing arms illegally.
Md Minhaz, son of Khalilur Rahman of Khlushi area, went into hiding after getting bail, said court sources.
In July 2010, Minhaz was arrested in a snatching case but later police recovered a light gun from Khulshi which he used during snatching at GEC intersection.
An arms case was lodged with Khulshi Police Station on August 12, 2010.
