ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP, Chairman, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways, has said work on the railway line from Chittagong to Kaptai would start soon. The railway line will go to Kaptai through CUET. In the future, railway connections will also be established in the three hill districts. At the same time rail connection will be established with Chittagong Bay Terminal. So that containers can be transported directly by train from the Bay Terminal.

Chittagong must be given importance. So there are many plans around Chittagong, sources added.
Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP announced to increase the number of trains on Chittagong-Dhaka route. He said the number of trains on this route should be increased.
