Chittagong Union of Journalists ( CUJ) and Ctg TV Journalists Association jointly held a protest rally and procession protesting the attack by opposition alliance and police over journalists during discharging their professional duties on Jan 5 l.
The protest meeting was arranged on Tuesday evening with CUJ TV Unit chief Mainuddin Dullal in the chair.
The speakers in the protest rally said the professional journalists are being harassed and physically tortured during their professional duties during oppositions rally by political workers and the police forces which is not at all desirable. They also warned that if any such occurrences like insult on journalists by police or political leaders , they will boycott the news and video footage to media .
Among others, CUJ President Ejaz YOusifi, BFUJ leader Asif Siraj, General secretary Hasan Ferdous, former CUJ President Mostaque Ahmed , President of TV Jounalist Union Chowdhury Farid, and reporters of electronic and print medias participated the protest rally.
