Chittagong Union of Journalists(CUJ) held a rally on Sunday demanding payment of all arrear increments under 7th Wage Board and implementation of the same .
The rally was held in front of Dainik Azadi office in Cheragi Pahar crossing in city on Sunday evening.
President of CUJ Ejaj Yousufi presided over it. The journalists of local and national dailies, electronic media were present in the rally. In the rally, president of CUJ announced ultimatum to the owners of the local dailies to make payment of all arrear increments by next 15 days . CUJ leaders also demanded implementation of 9th wage board immediately.
Among others vice president of BFUJ Abu Taher Mahmud, Joint general secretary Asif Siraj, CUJ vice President Ratan Kanti Devashish, General secretary Hasan Ferdous, Joint secretary Md. Shamsul Islam, former CUJ presidents Shahidul Alam, Mustaque Ahmed, Nasirul Hoque and former general secretary Riaz Haider spoke on the occasion.
