A Chittagong court on Monday granted three-day remand to the acting chief of Jamaat-e-Islami’s Chittagong city unit Professor Ahsan Ullah in a case filed in connection with torching a bus in the city.
The court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Moshiur Rahman granted the three-day remand as police prayed for a 10-days Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP-Prosecution) Quazi Mottakim Minan said the court granted three-day remand to Ahsan Ullah in a case filed for injuring four people by throwing petrol bombs at a passenger bus at city’s Tiger Pass area on February 18.
Earlier, Detective Branch (DB) of CMP detained Professor Ahsan Ullah from a residence of Halishahar thana at about 3 am on Sunday on charges of sabotage activities and violence.
