Renowned businessman of city’s Katungonj area Abdul Hoque Saudagar died at the age of 87 yesterday afternoon.
He left behind four sons, two daughters and a host of relatives, business colleagues and well-wishers to mourn his death, family sources said.
Abdul Hoque, father of the Joint District Judge, Ferozepur, Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, Chairman of the Computer Science Department at Chittagong University Prof Dr Osiur Rahman, Chairman of Feni District Heart Foundation Mostafizur Rahman, died at a city clinic around 2.30pm today.
Hoque, who had been suffering from pancreatitis disorder, was admitted to the clinic on Wednesday last. His Namaz-e-Janaza will be held after Isha prayers tonight and he will be buried at his Pukuria native village in Banshkhali upazila of the district.
