A man, who suffered burn injuries in a petrol bomb attack at a CNG run auto-rickshaw in Hathazari upazila on Wednesday night, died at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) early Friday.
The deceased was identified as Ranjit Nath, 30, a resident of Gumanmardan area in the upazila.
Miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Charia in Hathazari upazila around 9.00pm on Wednesday, leaving its driver Sabbir and passenger Ranjit injured with burns.
Ranjit received 80-83 percent burn injuries while Sabbir received 42 percent burn injuries during the incident.
They were admitted to the CMCH where Ranjit succumbed to his injuries around 12:30am, said Shourav Chakrabarty, a physician at the hospital.
