Bangladesh Awami League and its associate bodies in Chittagong city and district have chalked out different programmes to celebrate the Democracy Victory Day today in a befitting manner.
Separate public rallies would be held from Darul Fazal Market and
Andarkillah area in the city. Besides a public rally will also be held in front of central Shahid Minar at 2.30 pm where President of Chittagong city Awami League A B M Mohiuddin Chowdhury will remain present as the chief guest.
Awami Jubo League will organize a human chain in front of Chittagong Press Club on the day.
On this day in 2014, Awami League won the polls to the 10th Jatiya Sangsad (Parliament) defeating all conspiracies to destroy democracy and constituted a government for the third time. For this reason, the day is regarded to the nation as Democracy Victory Day.
