President of Chittagong City Awami League and former city Mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury and the leaders , activists pay homage to the father of the nation Bangabandhu at Tungipara by placing wreaths at the mazar of the Bangabandhu.
After Juma prayer, Mohiuddin Chowdhury alongwith the leaders placed wreaths at the mazar of Bangabandhu and prayed for salvation of the departed soul.
Among others, AL leaders Adocate Sunil sarker, Shafique Adnan, Abdul Ahad, Abu Taher, Amal Mitra, Nazrul Islam, Haji Belaluddin, FF Enamul Hoque Chowdhry, Syed Aminul Hoque, Firoj Ahmed and Habibur Rahman were present on the occasion.
As a part of monthlong programs of the National mourning and observance of 40th death anniversary of Sheikh Mujibur rahman , the leaders of Chittagong AL led by AL city President reached Tungipara yesterday for arrangement of traditional Mezban feeding there .
Sources said in the Mezban, about 30 thousand people will be provided with the Mezban food there.
About 500 leaders and workers of city AL , Chittagong left for Tungipara on Thursday afternoon with a transport convoy of 35 numbers including buses and mini buses, soruces said.
A cooking party consists of 120 persons earlier sent to Tungipara, sources said.
