In observance of the 40th death anniversary of the great architect of independence and father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman , Chittagong City Awami league unit chalked out month long programs from August 1 .
This month long programs launched from Saturday though arranging Milad and Doa Mahfil at the residence of city AL President ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury . Inaugurating the programmes, Mohiuddin Chowdhury said Bangabandhu is the great son of the soil and he is unprecedented leader of the humanity across the world.
He called upon the new generations to uphold his model and life style of the great leader. Among others Vice chancellor of Feni University Dr. Fasiul Alam, vice president of city AL Adv.Sunil Kumar, M Zahirul Alam Dobash, AL leaders AKM Belayet Hossain, Badiul Alam, MA Rashid, Adv. Iftikar Saimul Chowdhury, Ahmedur Rahman Siddiqui, Councilors Md Jabed, Morshed Akhtar, Central Chhatra League leaders Habibur Rahman Tarek and CU Chhatra League General Secretary SM Fazle Rabbi were present on the occasion, a sources of city AL said.
The month long programs include milad mahfil at Jamiatul falah mosque on August 2, at Garibullah Shah Shahi mosque on Aug 3, Chowkbzar Walikhan mosque on Aug 4, at Bakalia Kamale Ishke Mustafa Jame mosque on Aug 7, Premier University GEC campus mosque on Aug 8, Anderkilla Shahi Jame Mosque on Aug 9, Musafir khana mosque on Aug 10, Agrabad Bepari Para Jame M osque on Aug 11 and Lalldighi Shahi Mosque on Aug 12 next. Besides, special prayer will be held at Chatteswari Kali Mandir on Aug 5 , at Patherghata Church on Aug 9 and Discussion meeting on father of the nation at Muslim Institute Hall in city on August 10, sources said.
