Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister AKM Shahjahan Kamal on Saturday made a visit at Shah Amanat International Airport (SAIA) at Chittagong.
There, the minister in a meeting with civil aviation officials asked them to perform duties with honesty and integrity.
Emphasizing the importance of the Chittagong the minister said Chittagong is the entry point to Bangladesh and it is the commercial capital of the country. So the importance Airport and Shipping port are mounting over the course of time. Major portion of country’s commerce and trade are centered to the Chittagong region, so civil aviation officials needs to perform efficiently for greater benefits of the country.
“To mobilize businesses and developments government has taken various measures and steps for modernization of the SAIA and makes it efficient,” said AKM Shahjahan Kamal.
