Chattogram Abahani Limited registered a hard-fought 1-0 goals victory against Arambagh Krira Sangha in their match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at the Bangbandhu National Stadium on Thursday.
Chattogram Abahani’s Brazilian recruit Nixon scored the match-decider after receiving the ball by his chest and then put the ball into the net in the 30th minute of the match.
The ball came on his way from a right-side cross of his Nigerian teammate Mathews.
Chattogram Abahani and Arambagh Krira Sangha gave fight in the stipulated ninty-minute match but Chattogram Abahani won the match and earned full three poits.
Meanwhile, Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited lost to Saif Sporting Club by 2-1 goals at the Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla on the same day.
Arifur Rahman of Saif Sporting Club put his team ahead in the 40th minute of the play.
Saif Sporting Club’s Nigerian recruit John doubled the margin in the injury time of the first half.
Mohammedans skipper Japanese Uryu Nagata reduced the margin in the 61st minute of the play.
