Cricket South Africa (CSA) XI declared their first innings making 313 for the loss of eight wickets in the first innings against Bangladesh on the second day of the three-day warm-up match at Benoni in South Africa on Friday.
Earlier, Bangladesh declared their first innings scoring 306 for the loss of seven wickets on the first day (Thursday).
Later, Bangladesh were at six for the loss of none at the stumps.
South Africa resumed their first innings with the over-night score of 21 for the loss of one wicket.
Later, South Africa faced an early debacle as they lost their three wickets for 36 runs.
Then Zabayr Hamza and H Klaasen repaired the early damage adding together 53 runs for the fourth wicket partnership before Klaasen (16) was caught by Mominul Haque off Mustafizur Rahman when South Africa’s total was 89 for the loss of four wickets.
Zubayr Hamza top-scored with 60 runs. He was caught by Imrul Kayes off Taskin Ahmed when South Africa’s score was 110 for the loss of five wickets.
After dismissal of Hamza, M Breetzke and MC Christensen added 58 runs in the sixth-wicket stand before Breetzke was trapped leg before wicket by Mehedi Hasan Miraz when the hosts’ total was 168 for the loss of six wickets.
Breetzke hit 44.
After Breetzke departure, Christensen and S von Berg put on together 79 runs for the seventh wicket partnership before Christensen was trapped leg before wicket by Shafiul Islam when the home side’s score was 247 for the loss of seven wickets.
Christensen made 53 ,while Berg remained unbeaten with 62.
Besides, Pretorius hit 42.
Shafiul Islam bagged a pair of wickets at the cost of 61 runs.
Subashis Roy, Mustafizur Rahman, Taijul Islam, Mehedi Hasan Miraz and Taskin Ahmed took one wicket each for 27, 28, 47, 56 and 70 runs respectively.
