American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) completed three-day long event “AIUB CS Fest 2016” on 22-24 November 2016 at FST Building. The event is arranged by the AIUB Computer Club under the guidance of the Department of Computer Science of AIUB.
In the closing session of the 3rd day of the CS Fest 2016, a prize giving ceremony was held at AIUB Auditorium recently where Vice Chancellor Dr Carmen Z Lamagna handed over the crest and certificates to the winners. On this occasion Prof Dr Tafazzal Hossain (Vice President, Academics and Dean, FSIT), Dean (Faculty of Engineering) Prof Dr A BM Siddique Hossain, Prof Dr Tazul Islam (Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences), Registrar Prof MA Quaiyum, Director of Faculty of Science and Information Technology Mashiour Rahman, Director of Student Affairs (OSA) Manzur H Khan and other faculty members of Computer Science department were accompanied with the Vice Chancellor. The event ended by a cultural program organized by AIUB Computer Club (ACC).
More than 800 participants from different faculty of AIUB, different schools and colleges participate in this CS Fest 2016. Participants competed in the various categories like App Concept Presentation; App Showcasing – Mobile/ Web/ Desktop; Poster Contest; Idea Prototyping (HCI); Programming Contest – Intra AIUB; Programming Contest – ACM, Networking contest; Interdepartmental Mathematics competition; ICT Quiz, College / school project showcasing.
