Chittagong Reporters Unity (CRU) formed a 23 – member Executive Committee as per constitution in a general meeting chaired by Convener Kiron Sarma at CRU office at Charagi Pahar in Momin Road on Thursday .
Kiron Sarma (Daily Borer Dak )and Md. Nazrul Islam (The New Nation) have been elected President and General Secretary respectively .
Other members of the committee are : Kamrul Huda and Zahid Hasan as Vice Presidents Nur Mohammed Rana (RTV)- Join Secretary, Aminul Hoque Shahin (Mohona TV)- Asst. Secretary, Kazi Humaun Kabir (national news BD. 24. Com)- Finance Secretary Riazur Rahman Riaz (Daily Ajker Protasa)- Organizing Secretary, Babul Hossain Babla (Mukto Bani) – Asst. Organizing Secretary- Mohd. Alamgir (Naboraj)Office Secretary- Anup Barua Anup (Suprovat Bangladesh)- Asst. Office Secretary,-Nasrin sultana (Dhaka Report) Woman Affairs Secretary- AHM Kawsar (Amar Sanbad) Publicity Secretary – Azgor Ali Manik (Ctg. Crime News ) – Asst. Publicity Secretary.
Other office- bearers are Abdul Karim salim Sports Secretary, Publication Secretary Nurul kabir, Asst. Publication Secy .Rupan nath, tranning and Research secretary Shaik Mohammed Arif, Cultural Secretary Arun Nath, asst. Cultural Secretary Babul Miah, Abser Rashid Ayub Entertainment Secretary, Rasudul Aziz, Ibrahim kutibi, Mezbauddin Monirul Islam,Barun Kumar Achorjo Bali are the Executive committee members said a press release.
Former President of Bangladesh press council Moinuddin kaderi sawkat and Editor of daily Bir Chattagram Moncho were present in the Meeting and said that the Chittagong Reporters Unity is a platform of working Journalist and they works for the welfare of working journalist and fought for the right of journalist along with other journalist organization.
