Criminals cut off two legs of a factory owner at Bhaluka upazila in Mymensingh district on Wednesday morning.
Injured Abdur Razzaq is the owner of Arty Composite Limited in Kathali area under the upazila.
Local and police sources said Abdur Razzaq has been at loggerheads with Jasim Pathan of the area over a land feud.
Abdur Razzaq came under attack this morning when he went there following an altercation between the factory staff and Jasim. Jasim and his associates also hacked him indiscriminately, severing his two legs. The critically injured was rescued and then rushed to Bhaluka Upazila Health Complex. He, later, was admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka for better treatment. Regarding the matter, Bhaluka Model Police Station OC said three persons were detained in this connection.
A case was also filed and police are investigating the matter, he added.
