Cricket Academy in port city soon

Bangladesh Cricket Board(BCB) is mulling to establish a Cricket Academy in Chittagong very shortly.
 In this connection, a team of BCB visited Chittagong on Sunday . During their visit the team members visited Jahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium and the Divisional Women Sports complex in the morning.
Later the team members exchanged views with the journalists at Chittagong Press club . Among others , BCB Director and CCDM Chairman AZM Nasiruddin, BCB Director and Game Development chairman Akram Khan, BCB National Manager Syed Abdul Baten, BCB Media committee member secretary Ali Abbas were present in it.
BCB Director Akram Khan said primarily the adjoining areas of Jahur Ahmed chowdhury stadium has been selected for the proposed Academy where a Media building , on east side the proposed media bldg, 8 wicket practice box will be constructed where accommodation facilities of 45 players will be possible.
Besides, one specialized gymnasium, video analyst room, and conference hall will be constructed.
This academy will be built with concept of modern cricket academy of international standard. He further said a 3-month long training camp will begin from August next in the existing divisional women sports complex after some modifications of the complex .
In the 3-month long training camp, the best players of Chittagong division will be given round the clock practice training to regain the reputation of Bangladesh globally. He desire to regain the lost glory of Bangladesh in the international arena.
