Young activists and students turning up in hundreds at the Awami League council, learned historic facts of the party, thanks to a set of innovative installations featuring the struggle and achievements of the party to change the course of national progress.
Stood out at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan, those structures turned up as “very innovative” and “extraordinary”, as youths were found learning history and taking selfies during the council.
Center for Research and Information, (CRI), the party’s research wing, came up this unique initiative targeting the council.
“Such an innovative portrayal of history seemed to me really interesting. Thanks to this initiative, I came to know a number of invaluable contributions of this party”, said Ariful Islam Arif, after taking selfie in front of an installation on the historic journey of the party.
Another university student Lipi Akhter said this kind of creative depiction is quite unique and really deserve kudos as other parties have failed to present their activities in such way.
Another key feature was an interactive event brining a number of state ministers and party leaders before the youths to get an understanding on their thoughts on politics.
Titled as Let’s Talk on politics, a signature event of CRI, saw State minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam, State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan, Fazilatunnesa Bappy ,MP, and AL Publication and Publicity Deputy Secretary Aminul Islam Amin taking part in the discussion moderated by Nahim Razzaq, MP.
They called upon the youths to help the government realize its vision to be a poverty free developed country by 2041.
“We have so many challenges – be it in poverty reduction or ensuing health and education. We youths want to solve those problems and want to see Bangladesh free from those crisis. The event ‘Let’s talk’ gave us the opportunity to express that views,” Sanjida Khanom said after the even on the sidelines of the council.
“The good news is the government doing promising things. I hope they will keep it up and solve all other problems,” she added. Farida Rahman Labima, a student of Dhaka Medical College, also came to see the displays of CRI and participate in the ‘Let’s Talk’ event.
One of the corners, “Walk with Leader,” displayed photos of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and grandson Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed Joy.
