Deputy Commissioner of Narsingdi Abu Hena Morshed Zaman called for social movement engaging people from all classes specially Imams and religious leaders to resist all sorts of militant and terrorist activities in the society.
The Deputy Commissioner called this when he was addressing the meeting on Wednesday held at local Shilpakala Academy on the “call of Islam, the prevention of terrorism and militancy” in the society organized by Islamic Foundation Narsingdi.
He said Islam is the religion of peace and there is no terrorism and militancy in islam He called upon the Imams and religious leaders to come forward against the activities of terrorism and militancy He said the stringent steps taken by the government to contain the terrorism and militancy are working properly. He also urged all for alert on any kind of militancy and tackle it unitedly.
Police Super Amena Begum BPM and General secretary of District Awami League Abdul Motin Bhuiyan addressed in the meeting as special guest.
Presided over by the Deputy Director Islamic Foundation Mohammad Abu Taher siddique , Assistant Deputy Director of Islamic foundation Rohul Amin, Moulana Mofti Atik ullah, Moulana Sultan uddin Nori and Moulana Waliur Rahman Khan among others spoke
Another report adds: Narsingdi Model Thana Community policing forum organised a views exchange and discussion meeting on terrorism and militancy at Sadar Thana premises here on Thursday.

The police Super urged the cross-section of people participated in the meeting to remain alert and vigilant about the new comer and unknown people in the areas She requested all to give information the police. She also urged the parents and teachers to remain vigilant about the movements of their children to prevent them from getting derailed.
Pointing to the two recent militant attacks in Gulshan and Shalakia, the Police Super said Islam never support any barbaric act like that. Islam is the religion of peace. She said the militant activities cause losses to the country,its economy and trade and business.She urged all to stay alert against the design of the evil forces to malign Islam.
She said the law enforcement agencies providing relentlessly efforts to save country and its people from all grip of the militants outfits.
The Police Super urged the police to remain careful about the safety and security of the people and take steps what is necessary.
