A crane caught fire inside the Kamalapur Inland Container Depot (ICD) in the city on Tuesday afternoon.
Sub-inspector Rafiqul Islam of Kamalapur Government Railway Police Station said the fire erupted at about 5:20 pm while the crane was lifting a container.
Sources at the Fire Service Central Control Room said seven firefighting units rushed in and brought the fire under control around 6:10pm.
