The Chattogram district administration has launched a crackdown programs against coronavirus infections in the port city yesterday. The drive, which began yesterday morning, led by four executive magistrates from the district administration.Two more magistrates joined in the drive in the afternoon.
The campaign launched in Chowkbazar, Reazuddin Bazar, Teri Bazar and Agrabad areas in the city .
Chattogram Additional District Magistrate Badiul Alam told the media that the district administration is conducting a city-wide campaign on Tuesday over the instructions of the Deputy commissioner to ensure that everyone wears masks including creating awareness to prevent the transmission of corona virus.
He said hygiene awareness miking is being carried out at 4 entrances and 6 important spots in the city with the help of City Corporation and Information Department.
Masks are being distributed by the district administration.
‘Strict action will be taken against those who come out of the house without wearing a mask even after creating awareness and giving a mask, district administration added.
