President of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) Mujahidul Islam Selim left here on Friday on a month-long visit to the United States.
It said the communist leader would travel to different US cities like Dallas, Santiago, Seattle and New York during his personal visit, when he would also meet the expatriate CPB leaders and activists.
The CPB president is expected to return here by September 23.
CPB Presidium Member Haider Akbar Khan Rono will act as the acting president of CPB during Selim’s tour abroad.
