UNB, Dhaka :Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) and Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) will jointly observe a sit-in programme at 10:30 am on Sunday in front of the Power and Energy Ministry, to protest the recent power tariff hike.Simultaneously, both the parties will stage demonstrations at local administration bodies across the country.The leaders of the two left leaning parties announced the action programme on Friday.In a statement, leaders of the two parties urged the people to take part in the programme and strengthen their protest against the power tariff hike.The leaders blamed the government’s mismanagement and wrong policies for the current crisis in power sector. They pointed out the government has repeatedly been increasing power tariff, while plundering the state wealth through expensive rental and quick rental power plants.
