CPA to stand beside RMG sector towards advancement

The newly joined Chairman of Chittagong Port authority Rear Admiral M Khaled Iqbal said CPA will remain stand beside the RMG sector in their path of advancement.
 CPA chairman assured the leaders of the BGMEA, while paying courtesy call on CPA chairman by the leaders of Chittagong chapter led by its first Vice President Moinuddin Ahmed Minto at Bandar Bhaban on Wednesday .Durector of BGMEA Kazi Mahbub Uddin Juwel , AM Mahbub Chowdhury, Syed Md. Tanvir, Md. Saifullah, CDA chairman Abdus Salam, former Director Md. Mohiuddin chowdhury, Member(admn) of CPA Jafar Alam, Secretary of CPA Omar Faruq were present on the occasion.
 First vice President of BGMEA Moinuddin Ahmed Minto greeted the CPA chairman for his continuous cooperation towards RMG sector and said BGMEA is working untiredlessly to reach the goal of 50 billion exports of RMG products by 2021 as declared by the Prime Minister. The BGMEA leaders emphasized the need for constructionof Bay terminal to feed the growing demands of the importers and exporters and transshipment from Chittagong Port. They also told about the supply of gas and power to the newly established industries in this zone for rapid industrialization of the country. The leaders also urged the CPA chairman to relax the cut-off time for export consignment of RMG products and immediate release of imported raw material under back to back LC. CPA chairman assured them to take immediate effective measures related to port’s end of RMG sector and expressed consensus with the BGMEA leaders, sources said.
