The tourism capital Cox’s Bazar is ready to host tourists before the end of the year, particularly on the eve of the 31st night.
On the occasion, several lakh tourists are expected to arrive in the district as the country’s political condition is more stable this time, said local traders.
While visiting the areas, it was found that the business establishments related to tourism have been decorated attractively. Massive changes have been brought in local hotels and motels. Cleanliness activities have been found everywhere.
The local administration has also taken proper measures to ensure successful celebration of the 31st eve. Many hotels and motels have already been booked.
Room Division Officer of Hotel The Cox Today Abu Taleb Shaha said, “No room at this hotel will remain vacant from December 27 of this year till January 7 of next year. Due to stable political condition, we are hopeful about massive business this year. Already 80 per cent rooms at the hotel have been booked.”
General Secretary of Hotel Motel Owners’ Association Abul Kashem Sikder said, “Centring 31st night, huge tourists visit Cox’s Bazar every year. But this year the situation is different. We have found massive response for booking hotels and motels already.”
