Police have recovered the hanging body of a NGO worker from his office at Ukhia upazila in Cox’s Bazar district.
Deceased Md Yunus Mia, 32, was working as an accountant in a project of Bangla-German Sampreeti (BGS). He was the son of Tota Mia, hailed from Burichang upazila in Cumilla district.
Jaliapalong union parishad chairman Nurul Amin Choudhury said informed by locals, police recovered the hanging body from the office around 2 pm on Thursday.
Ukhia Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Marzina Akter said the body was handed over to the family on Friday after autopsy.
