Country recorded 34 more coronavirus-related deaths and some 2,000 new cases as the country continues to grapple with the pandemic situation.
Health authorities detected 1,988 new cases after testing 20,259 samples during the period. The number of sample tests has increased over the past one week.
With the new cases, the total caseload rose to 8,04,293, said a handout of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The new deaths pushed up the death toll to 12,694.
The daily infection rateincreased to 9.81 percent from Tuesday’s9.47 percent, while the mortality rate remained static at 1.58 percent.
The country has so far tested 59,86,022 samples.
Among the deceased, 11 died in Dhaka division while five each in Khulna, Chattogram and Rajshahi divisions, 3 each in Sylhet and Rangpur and one in Barishal division.
Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus cases on March 8 last year and the first death on the 18th of that month.

The death toll from the COVID-19 illness rose by 34 in a 24-hour count to 12,694, according to the latest government data released on Wednesday.
Another 1,914 people recovered from the illness through treatment at home and in hospital care, bringing the tally of recoveries to 744,065.
As many as 20,259 samples were tested across the country in the last 24 hours,
yielding a positivity rate of 9.81 percent.
The latest official figures put the recovery rate at 92.51 percent, while the mortality rate stands at 1.58 percent.
Globally, over 171.19 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus and 3.56 million have died, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
