Syed Shemul Parvez :
Corona virus detection rate is increasing day by day in the country. According to the Department of Health, the rate of detection is also increasing with the increase of corona sample testing in the last one week.
On Saturday, the country reported 1,280 more Coronavirus cases along with three deaths casualties.
Even a week ago, the detection rate was below 10 percent compared to the sample test. On Friday, June 24, 1,685 corona patients were identified. The detection rate is 12.18 percent. In other words, as the number of tests increase proportionally, the amount and rate of detection increases.
As the corona detection rate continues to rise, the National Consultative Technical Committee on Covid-19 has made a number of recommendations. These include urging all types of media to re-motivate the public to adhere to hygiene rules, making it mandatory to wear masks in all areas outside the home, enforcing the ‘no mask no service’ policy, maintaining social distance, avoiding public gatherings, and so on.
According to the Department of Health, corona patients increased by 383 percent last week (June 13 to 19) compared to
June 6 to 12. Last week (June 13-19) 2,212 patients were identified and in the previous week (June 6-12) 458 patients.
Experts believe that there is a role for a new variant in the sudden increase in the rate of corona infection. Therefore, health experts are giving more emphasis on strict adherence to health rules and vaccination against corona to prevent infection.
Expressing concern about the increase in the number of corona patients, Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek said that the number of corona patients will also increase if the sample tests are increased, as we all are ignoring the hygiene rules everywhere.
Health experts say the new wave of corona is about to enter the country. Dr Mushtaq Hossain, Advisor, Institute of Pathology, Disease Control and Research at IEDCR, said, ‘Infection is currently on the rise. Looking at the syndromes, it is seemed that in the case of Corona, we have entered a new wave. However, the hope is that since most of the people in the country have been vaccinated, the amount of damage may be less.
Those who have not been vaccinated must be vaccinated soon, he urged people.
Health expert Professor Nazrul Islam said that if you think about the Spanish flu, then there were four waves at that time. At present, the number of new patients is increasing in all over the world. Our country is also going through such a time like other countries of the world. Everyone has to be very careful. All types of hygiene rules must be obeyed, he said.
Another expert, Professor Farhad Manzoor warns everyone not to be indifferent to hygiene in the current rise of Corona. There is no chance of being indifferent even after getting vaccinated. If the infection continues to grow at its current rate, it will have a negative impact on public health overall.
So there is no alternative to wear a mask outside the house. Adhering to social distance, crowds should be avoided.
Everyone needs to be more careful. All those who are excluded should take the first, second and booster dose of Corona quickly, he added.
