In the last 24 hours, 211 people have been identified in the city as elsewhere in the district. The total number of victims in Chattogram stood at 30,090. Besides, two infected died in Corona in the district in 24 hours.
According to a report released by the Civil Surgeon’s Office on Tuesday morning, 1,618 samples were tested in the last 24 hours at Cox’s Bazar Medical College Lab and six labs in Chattogram Of these, 157 samples were tested in Chattogram University Lab, 623 in Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) Lab, 392 in Chattogram Medical College Lab and 181 in Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Lab. In this, 35 patients have been identified in CU lab, 42 in BITID lab, 23 in CMCH lab and 40 in CVASI lab.
In addition, coronavirus virus was detected in the bodies of 37 people by testing 65 samples in the private Imperial Hospital lab and in 75 tests at Chevron Clinical Laboratory.
In the Regional TB Referral Laboratory (RTRL) of the General Hospital, 26 samples were tested and 10 positives were identified. Samples were not tested at the Chattogram Maternal and Child Hospital Lab. Cox’s Bazar Medical College Lab tested 26 samples.
The coronavirus was found in the bodies of 10 people. Chattogram Civil Surgeon Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said 211 new cases had been identified in the last 24 hours. Among the new victims are 189 in the city and 42 in the upazilas.
