More 37 Covid-19 patients have died in the last 24 hours, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said on Thursday.
With the new fatalities, the death toll now stands at 1,049, Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General (Administration) of DGHS, said during a regular press briefing in Dhaka.
Besides, 3,187 new cases recorded in the same period, the DGHS official said.
“The latest figures take the total number of infections in the country to 78,052,” she said.
The DGHS official said, total 15,772 samples were tested in 55 laboratories across the country in the last 24 hours.
She said also that more 848 coronavirus infected patients have recovered since Wednesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 16,747 across the country.
