Judge Md Rabiul Alam of the court read out the new charge, conspiracy to
kill blogger Oyasiqur Rahman against the ABT men. Earlier, a Dhaka court framed two charges against the five on July 20, 2016.
Three accused Zikrullah alias Hasan, Ariful Islam alias Mushfiq and Md Saiful Islam are now in the jail, while two others Akram Hossain Hasib alias Abdullah and Junayed alias Taher are on the run.
On Wednesday, the court fixed November 12 for the next hearing in the case.
Earlier on October 27, the same court withdrew its decision to pronounce judgment of the case filed against the accused.
The judge passed the order after Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP) Md Salahuddin Howlader submitted two petitions- one for adjournment of the judgment and the other for reframing charges against the accused of the case.
Oyasiqur Rahman, 27, was attacked by three cleaver-wielding youths in the capital’s Tejgaon Industrial Area on March 30, 2015.
