The district and session judge’s court of Faridpur yesterday in a verdict awarded life term imprisonment to a husband for killing his wife.
According to court sources, district and session judge Md. Jahidul Islam handed down the judgement to one Jasim Sardar, 22 of Ahmed Mollar Dangi of North Channel union under Sadar upazilla for killing his wife Peyara Begum, 20. Jasim strangulated his wife to death in the night of last April 15, 2011 in sequel of a family feud. He was also fined for Taka 10 thousand in default to suffer simple imprisonment for another nine months.
