A court here yesterday fixed October 8 for submitting the investigation report on journalist couple Sagor and Runi murder case.
Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka SM Ashikur Rahman ordered the detective branch (DB) of the police to submit the investigation report in the murder case within the given timeframe.
The DB got time in several phases to submit the investigation report. Earlier on February 10 in 2012, news editor of private television channel Maasranga Sagor Sarwar and senior
reporter of another TV channel ATN Bangla, were hacked to death at their rented flat in the capital city’s West Rajabazar. Runi’s brother Nawsher Alam Roman filed a murder case with Sher-e-Banglanagar Police Station to this end.
The case was shifted to the DB four days after the brutal killings.
