UNB, Habiganj :A local court on Tuesday permitted the investigation officer (IO) to interrogate Harkatul Jihad leader Mufti Hannan at the gate of Dhaka Central Jail for one day in connection with the former Finance Minister Shah AMS Kibria killing case.Senior Judicial Magistrate Rokeya Begum granted the permission to IO Meherunnesa Khatun, Senior Assistant Superintendent of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police, following a petition.The court also ordered showing HuJi militant Delwar Hossain Ripon arrested in the case.Earlier, on September 4, the court issued a production warrant (PW) for Ripon and Sheikh Farid alias Maulana Shawkat Osman to produce them before the court on Tuesday following a petition filed by the IO.However, only Ripon was produced before the court yesterday.Five people, including former Finance Minister Shah AMS Kibria, were killed and 70 others injured in a grenade attack on a public meeting of local Awami League at Baidder Bazar in Sadar upazila on January 27, 2005.Assistant Superintendent of CID Munshi Atique submitted charge-sheet against 10 BNP leaders and activists on March 19, 2005.
