The International Crimes Tribunal on Thursday accepted the chargesheet against two Kishoreganj war crimes accused-Syed Mohammad Hossain Ali and Moslem Prodhan.
The three-member tribunal led by Justice Anwarul Haque took the charges into cognisance against them and fixed February 15 for the next hearing.
Senior Prosecutor Tureen Afroz stood for the ICT and Abdus Sattar Palwan stood for the accused.
Earlier on December 3 in 2015, the prosecution at the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) submitted formal charge of war crimes and violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention 1949 against the two.
On July 7, now defunct ICT-2 issued arrest warrant against the them. Police arrested Moslem the next day from his home in village Kamarhati under Nikli upazila of Kishoreganj.
Hossain is the younger brother of death-row-convict Syed Md Hassan alias Hachen Ali, who was sentenced to death in his absence by the ICT-1 on June 9 for his heinous crimes against humanity in 1971.
