SkillsPro organized a four-day certificate course on ‘Mastering Academic Writing for the University Students’, which has been inaugurated on Friday. Dr Saber Ahmed Chowdhury, Associate Professor, Dept of Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Dhaka; Md Elias Uddin, Lecturer, Dept of English; and Mohammad Main Uddin, Lecturer, Dept of International Relations, Bangladesh University of Professionals attended the opening session.
SkillsPro have organized this course to train the academically enthusiastic youths as a part of its larger vision to transform the young citizens of Bangladesh into human resource. SkillsPro has identified a lacking in the skill of academic writing among the undergraduate and graduate level students. This lacking of skill is the key reason behind weakly articulated academic publications in this country. The current course will cover the fundamentals of academic writings, critical thinking, organizing ideas, language for academic writing, and maintaining originality. With a combination of lectures, discussions and exercises, this course will enable the participants to flourish their potential in producing academic paper for not only earning degree but also contributing to the creation of new knowledge in academia.
