A couple has been killed at their residence in Narayanganj Sadar Upazila. Amanullah, 55, and his second wife Hosne Ara, 35, were hacked to death some time between Sunday night and early on Monday. Police suspect a festering land dispute may have led to the murder. Quoting locals Fatulla Model Police Station OC Aktar Hossain said neighbours spotted the bodies during Fazr prayers as the door of the house was open and informed the police. Police detained Alamgir and Abu Bakar Siddiqui, brothers of Amanullah’s first wife. There was dispute over share of land between the two wives, the OC said. –bdnews24.com
