Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a young man and his wife along with 27,000 Yaba pills from City Gate area under Akbar Shah Police Station here on Wednesday.
The arrestees are Mohammad Sabuz,31 and his wife Zahinur Begum, hailing from Gopalganj district.
Tipped off, a team of the elite set up a check post around 1pm and arrested the duo while they were trying to take the contraband tablets to Dhaka, said RAB-7 sources.
