A couple was sentence to life term by Kishoreganj Court on Tuesday noon for murder a man at Katiadi upazila in Kishoreganj.
Additional District and Session Judge of Kishoreganj Judge Md Abdur Rahim fined them Tk 5 lakh each, otherwise two years of rigorous punishment will be applicable.
The convicted are Alimuddin, son of late Abu Bakker Siddique of Ashmita village is Katiadi upazila and his wife Nurjahan Begum.
According to case story, Alimuddin and his wife Nurjahan Begum stabbed Mannan to death over cutting of a tree on August, 08 2004. Fatema Khatun, mother of the victim, filed a case with Katiadi Model Police Station in this connection.
