Police recovered the hanging bodies of husband and wife from a rented house at worker’s colony in Ashulia of Savar on Saturday afternoon.
Police recovered also a suicide note from the room.
The deceased were identified as Ebadat Hossain Akash, 25, and his wife Runa Akhter, 18. Both of them were from Feni district.
Runa used to work in a readymade garment factory, but his husband was unemployed.
It is initially believed that they committed suicide due to family feuds.
Sheikh Rezaul Huq Dipu, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ashulia Police Station said that the neighbours discovered their hanging bodies and informed police. Primarily it seems that the couple committed suicide.
The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy, the OC added.
